The Wisconsin building stood on the bluff tract directly west of the Illinois building, just south of the grand plaza. The building was 60 feet square and was built in classic style. The main entrance was made of four immence fluted corinthian columns supporting a broad pediament. The angles of the building were flanked on both sides by pilasters of the Corinthian order, which on the side walls are doubled, with about eight feet of wall space between. An acquarium, with a grotto fountain, occupied the the center of the main floor space and a frescoed frieze picturing some of the more important features of Wisconsin's history was along the wall between the inner pilasters.
