The new illumination features in the Grand Court will be welcomed with afireworks display.

The Wild West Show was put into total darkness for about 30 minutes, whena rifle shot from Prof. Fremont Wheeler, sharpshooter, cut a wire.

Council Bluffs officials were surprised... that Children's day istoday... Teachers had been making elaborate arrangements to bring thee ntire juvenile population of Council Bluffs... Businessman were raising money... had expectation of a day entirely their own. Now they are compelled to leave much to a future occasion.

Kansas Dedication Day


The Kansas Building was located in the southern part of the space set aside forstate buildings. It was a commodious and well planned structure, and waserected by the Kansas Commission from funds raised by private subscriptions.

The exercises incident t o dedicating the building were held at 11 o'clock A.M.at the Kansas Building. A trumpet corps of the Boys' First Regiment of Topekaplayed several selections, after which a male quartette from Topeka sang "TheFlag without a Stain". The following progr am of exercises was then given:
