Attention High School Students! Here's your chance to be heard.

This monthly poetry slam is held at

W. Clarke Swanson Branch, 90th & W. Dodge Rd.

  1. The first six poets to sign up are guaranteed a spot to perform.
  2. Others chosen by lottery system. (12-14 poets max)
  3. There are two rounds and the winner is awarded a rotating trophy.

    Poetry must be original and fit within the time limit of three minutes.

All Clear Program
Kids and teens with library fines will get a chance for a fresh start with Omaha Public Library’s new All Clear Program.

Youth ages 10-18 (or still in high school) with $25 or more in overdue fines (not including lost or damaged fees) can clear their records and regain checkout privileges while gaining valuable experience through volunteering.

Application must be filled out and signed by child/teen and parent/guardian.

Register by either going to your local Omaha Public Library and getting an application or
