FirstGov en Español es la nueva puerta de entrada a miles de recursos gubernamentales - todo en español desarrollado por y para las personas que hablan español.

Inaugurada en el mes de abril del 2003, FirstGov en Español le facilita el acceso a las personas que hablan español a la información y servicios autorizados actualmente por el gobierno de los EE.UU. Este sitio es parte de la sede cibernética "primaria" de FirstGov.gov, la cual es el portal oficial cibernético en inglés al gobierno de los EE.UU.

FirstGov en Español es parte de un esfuerzo más amplio del gobierno de los EE.UU. para garantizar a las personas con pocas aptitudes en el idioma inglés el acceso significativo a importantes programas y servicios gubernamentales. El cimiento de este esfuerzo es un mandato ejecutivo presidencial titulado "Mejoramiento del acceso a los servicios por las personas con pocas aptitudes en el idioma inglés."
