Omaha Public Library and Omaha´s Henry Doorly Zoo received a Big Read grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

This is the first time a zoo and a library have received the grant together. The Big Read grant allows us to offer events spotlighting Jack London´s The Call of the Wild.

Programming will occur between January and March, encompassing OPL´s Winter Reading Club and the Zoo´s Read Around the World programs. The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest.
