Job seekers and OmahA-Area businesses to meet at Library’s
sixth annual Job Fair Under the Tent

Omaha Public Library is a rich resource, not just for books and information, but for networking and career opportunities too. Omaha Public Library’s annual Job Fair Under the Tent drew over 1,000 people to its Charles B. Washington Branch last spring. They’re doing it again on May 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., right next door to the library in the parking lot of Cathedral of Love Church, 2816 Ames Ave.

Come rain or shine, the Job Fair Under the Tent will be held with 30 organizations expected to offer job opportunities in a variety of fields including health, labor, transportation and communication. Professional assistance with resumes, and online job searches and applications will be available inside the Library.

“The Job Fair Under the Tent is for everyone,” said John Bernardi, Job Fair coordinator and manager of Omaha Public Library’s Charles B. Washington Branch. “North Omaha residents in particular will have the convenience of job hunting in their own backyard.”

Omaha Public Library’s collection includes online business resources such as Business Source Primer and Reference USA, as well as the latest books and materials for job seekers. The online resources are available 24 hours a day to anyone with an Omaha Public Library card.
Businesses interested in reserving an exhibit space should call 444-4849. The fee is $50 and businesses are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
