Help for a grieving child

Ted E. Bear Hollow, A Center for Grieving Children, in partnership with Omaha Public Library, will offer free support and information sessions for families with children who have experienced the death of a loved one.

A kickoff event will be held at Charles B. Washington Branch, 2868 Ames Ave, Oct. 11, 6-7:30 pm with additional sessions to be announced. The kickoff event at South Branch, 2302 M St., will be Oct. 18, 6-8 pm with follow up sessions on Oct. 25 and Nov. 1, 6-8 pm. Food and beverages will be provided.

Each session will provide information for adults on how to support grieving children. Special activities will be provided for children ages 4-18 which will allow them to honor and remember loved ones who have died. Child care will be provided for those ages 3 and younger.

By providing valuable information and resources, the Omaha Public Library and Ted E. Bear Hollow hope to help grieving children heal in a healthy way that enables them to continue their lives successfully.
