From book to screenplay, Omaha Reads celebrates chosen books

Omaha Reads, brought to you by Omaha Public Library, encourages everyone to read, talk and share the same book. This year’s adult book selection is The Singing and Dancing Daughters of God by Omaha author Timothy Schaffert. A screenplay based on the book has been written by New York screenwriter Joseph Krings and a staged reading of the screenplay will be Nov. 3, 4-5 p.m. at W. Dale Clark Library, 4th floor, 215 S. 15th St. Joseph Krings is a director, editor and multimedia artist currently living in New York and originally from Albion, Nebraska.
