Families are invited to gather at Omaha Public Library to catch a little holiday spirit and enjoy lots of fun activities. 444-4849 Families from all over the city are encouraged to attend Omaha Public Library’s Annual Kwanzaa Celebration, honoring African Americans and Omaha’s cultural diversity. The evening’s activities include entertainment by the African Cultural Connection, a Kwanzaa candle lighting ceremony, dinner, and poetry and story readings. Libraries are amazing resources for learning about different cultures and what better time to get acquainted than the holidays? Omaha Public Library has thousands of holiday books, audio books, videos and more available for free checkout to Omaha Public Library cardholders. These library events are free and open to everyone. The holiday music series is sponsored by Friends of Omaha Public Library and the Omaha Public Library Foundation.
