DOWNTOWN OMAHA

Downtown Omaha

This is a bird's eye view of downtown Omaha circa 1914, looking southeast. Near the center of the picture is a dark building with a spire: that is the City Hall building on Farnam. To the immediate right of City Hall is the Douglas County Courthouse. In the upper left corner of the picture is the New York Life Building (aka the Omaha Building). The upper third of the old Omaha Public Library building at 19th and Harney can be seen center right.
