SIXTEENTH STREET, 1920s

16th Street, 1920s

Looking south on 16th Street from Farnam, we see some buildings on the east side of the street that still stand. The first large building at the southeast corner of 16th & Farnam is the Securities Building. At this time it held many business and medical offices. Today it is home to commercial businesses on the lower level and apartments above. The tall building on the southwest corner of 16th & Harney is the City National Bank Building, now known as Orpheum Tower, which also has apartments on the upper levels.
