COUNCIL BLUFFS & NEBRASKA FERRY COMPANY & UNION PACIFIC TRANSFER ALBUM

Irene Ferryboat

The Irene and probably the H. C. Nutt are tied up on the Nebraska bank. Dead center is a rather large railroad freight house with a number of box cars in front. St. Philomena’s spire is just at the very right center. This view is very close to image #5 as the engine and cars being unloaded at the left are in the same sequence as those being unloaded from the H. C. Nutt in #5. Residences of Judge Clinton Briggs (southwest corner of 11th & Pierce), Herman Kountze (9th Street south of Pierce), Mercy Hospital (12th and Mason), and Pacific School (large building above unloading flat cars) are visible.
