UNITED STATES NATIONAL BANK |
This view is also of the busy corner at 16th and Farnam around the turn of the last century.
The large building in the center, the New York Life Building then the location of the Omaha National Bank, still stands. The Woodmen of the World Building and old City Hall on the left have been demolished. The USNB on the northwest corner of 16th & Farnam was destroyed in the neighboring People’s Store Fire of April 1912. The fourth building to house the United States National Bank was erected on the same location in 1913.
